Prime Minister Imran Khan contacted Babar Awan, Advisor on Parliamentary Affairs. During the meeting, consultations were held on the ongoing session of the National Assembly, constitutional and legal issues as well as Senate elections.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that open voting was the only way to stop horse trading in the Senate. Senate elections are a blot on democracy.
The Prime Minister also discussed the arrest of Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh in a telephone conversation. Babar Awan expressed concern over the arrest of Haleem Adil by PTI workers, said that Haleem Adil Sheikh was subjected to custodial torture, inhuman and degrading treatment.
