Islamabad: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has allowed 19 companies to manufacture mobile phones locally.
Significant progress has been made in the manufacture of mobile phones locally in Pakistan, with 19 foreign and local companies producing 2G, 3G and 4G phones.
According to a PTA spokesperson, the companies have been initially allowed for the next 10 years.
