Iran and China have signed a 25-year economic and strategic partnership agreement.

According to foreign media, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Tehran on a two-day visit yesterday.

Under the agreement, China and Iran are expected to invest in key sectors, including energy and infrastructure.

Work on a draft agreement to increase bilateral investment between the two countries has been underway since 2016.

According to the report, China is Iran’s largest trading partner and was also the largest oil buyer before US sanctions in 2018.

Iran says the agreement will further strengthen ties between the two countries.
